Narakasura tormented everyone and aspired for happiness to be exclusive to him. In order to elude his terminators, he built a town that was invincible, at the edge of a mountain in the Himalayas. As protective layers, he installed deadly machinery, created a fire ring and dug up a deep water trench around his town. But what purpose did it serve? Shri Krishna came and devastated his town in minutes. Naraka was annihilated. Naraka died without fructification of his plans. Shri Krishna once again exemplified that nothing is above the divine. One should live meaningfully and not construe grandeur to be life. An afflent establishment cannot extend our life span.
