Often, we hear that Shri Krishna stole butter. However, this act of His must not be considered as a crime. There was reason behind it. He would deduct merit from whosoever berated Him for taking butter and bestow it upon those who welcomed Him. So, in essence, when it comes to the Lord, one should never exhibit thrift. Our offerings to Him must never be restrictive in terms of quality or quantity.
