Shri Krishna lists out to Uddhava the above eight special, unique and mighty aspects wherein He is generally present in objects. Further, He lists out certain specific persons and objects and delineates His unique and mighty aspects therein as well. For example, it is stated, ‘Hiranyagarbho Devanaam’. This is an allusion to His unique aspects discerning only to the divine beings or Devatas. Thus, the bulwark for all references to His unique and special aspects that appear elsewhere are the same eight aspects alluded to hereinabove by Shri Krishna to Uddhava. These eight unique aspects or characteristics indicate the pathway of our lives and are beacons to achieving success in our respective lives. They are also eight unique message bearing forms of the Almighty; these eight sentences of Shri Krishna are so profound and divine as to enable an individual to achieve the heights of victory even from the throes of defeat.

This is a beacon that enables a person to move from the darkness of ignorance to the light and brightness of knowledge. He ushers out the eternal souls who are hitherto covered in darkness, provides them a physical body, remains within them, ordains their lives and bestows all that is good on them. He enables the innate happiness of the soul to manifest itself and guides the human out of the mundane bondage to eternal bliss or liberation. Indeed, that is the path of the seeker of the truth. This entire trail is reflective of the supremacy of Lord Vishnu and brings to the fore the eight aspects.

Shri Krishna next utters ‘Hiranyagarbho Devanaam’. Hiranyagarbha is an allusion to the four-faced Brahma. Hiranya means gold. Thus, this golden cosmos. From Vishnu’s lotus shaped womb (that houses the entire cosmos), the first child to emanate is Brahma. Hence, he is Hiranyagarbha. His womb comprises the universe and the entirety. As he is the foremost ruler of the world, the name achieves aptness too. Shri Krishna says that His unique aspect is thus present in the creator of this world, Brahma. Not just that, Shri Krishna avers that starting from Brahma, His special and mighty aspect as Hiranyagarbha is present in the nine crore divine beings. Shri Krishna reiterates that in Brahma and under his stewardship thereafter, His mighty and unique aspect is present in all the divine beings. The four-faced Brahma is the first and foremost among all divine beings.

As human beings constitute a grouping, so too, divine beings constitute a group. The assemblage of the divine beings is the noblest and superior to all else. Brahma and others belong to this assemblage. The cause of nobility and excellence in all these divine beings is the presence of Shri Krishna’s Hiranyagarbha form.
