Ultimately, for any seeker, obtaining divine grace through ripened devotion and constant contemplation of the Bimba form by dhyāna, with a clear understanding of the absolute supremacy and independence of the Lord, is most essential for Bimbāparōkṣa and Mōkṣa.
For a discerning seeker whose ultimate aim is liberation from the cycle of births and deaths, it is as important to have the right knowledge of His incarnations as it is to be cognizant of those that are not His incarnations. Acharya Madhwa cautions that if a person believes someone to be an incarnation of the Supreme Lord when he actually is not, such a person cannot achieve liberation.
Bhagavata means the story of Bhagavan Shri Krishna. It’s the story of the incarnations of God. All the stories of God teach us largely about His supremacy alone.
For long, an often repeated charge that has racked the minds of the discerning is that Shri Krishna was a thief, was chummy with women, was of an amorous disposition etc. In a way, the above averment of Vedavyasa provides answers to various canards and objections, including those mentioned above.
The message of our Acharya is to perform our duty with devotion and offer it to the Lord. Duty and devotion are not mutually exclusive but are complementary.
śrī nArasiMha resides in the indestructible body (svarUpa deha) called ‘jvarahara’ and pervades to eliminate diseases. We must therefore meditate on nArasiMha always. Just by remembering His name, sins are destroyed as instantaneously as the dew that vanishes at the glimmer of sunlight.
Likewise, saṅkarṣaṇa known as bhēṣaja, specially resides in the body as bhagavān and provides a sanctuary from all fears. Similarly, anirud’dha, known as śivābhimarśana for bringing lives into contact with śiva i.e., bliss and auspiciousness, is the controller of sustenance is present in the body.
When Sri Krishna, the supreme Lord, was born in the house of Vasudeva, Brahma ordained all the divine damsels also to descend on to the earth to serve Sri Krishna so as to please Him and for His love. Vasudeva grihe saakshaad bhagavaan purusah parah janishyate tat priyaartham sambhavanthu sura striyah
Jeeva is eternally under the control of Narayana, the devatas and Gurus; One who realizes this shall be relieved from the bondage of those who are lower than him.
